Pineapple Margarita with Agave and Tajin Rim

What says summertime like a margarita? It’s tasty, refreshing and can be served frozen or on the rocks. But the best part about margaritas is just how easy it is to change up this recipe. These pineapple margaritas have the perfect blend of fruity flavors with a spicy Tajin rim.

What’s in a classic margarita?

A classic margarita is easy to make for any home bartender. All you really need to make a simple margarita is tequila, triple sec, lime juice and simple syrup. Most people add a salt rim as well but it’s not totally needed if you prefer it without salt.

What is Tajin?

Tajin is a Mexican seasoning that is made of chile peppers, lime, and salt. It’s the perfect balance of spicy and sweet when added to the rim of these pineapple margaritas. If you don’t have Tajin available you could just use salt or try making your own version of Tajin.

What tequila is best in a pineapple margarita?

As with with classic margaritas, the best tequila would be a blanco or silver tequila which is less ages than gold tequila.

I used Espolòn Blanco to make these margaritas.
