Blood orange syrup

A simple blood orange syrup for cocktails, mocktails and desserts.

Equipment

  • 1 hand juicer
  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 measuring cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh blood orange juice
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  • Cut and juice the blood oranges (about 5-6)
  • Strain out any pulp or seeds
  • Add to a saucepan and bring to a medium heat
  • Stir until sugar dissolves
  • Simmer for 5-10 minutes
  • Store in an airtight container
  • Refrigerate for up to 3 weeks
