Espresso Martini Affogato

Ingredients

  • 1 oz of espresso
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz of vodka
  • 1 oz of coffee liqueur
  • 1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • Coffee beans or chocolate shavings for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Brew a shot of espresso using your preferred method. Allow it to cool slightly.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add the shot of espresso, vodka, and coffee liqueur to the shaker.
  • Shake the ingredients vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to chill and combine them.
  • Place a scoop of vanilla ice cream into a martini or dessert glass.
  • Pour the shaken espresso martini mixture over the vanilla ice cream, allowing it to cascade and mix with the ice cream.
  • Optionally, garnish the top of the dessert with a few coffee beans or chocolate shavings for added visual appeal.
  • Serve the Espresso Martini Affogato immediately and enjoy it with a spoon to savor the combination of the cold ice cream and the rich flavors of the espresso martini.
