Pear and Ginger Margarita Recipe

Equipment

  • cocktail shaker
  • rocks glass

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila
  • ½ oz triple sec
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz ginger syrup recipe below
  • Ice for shaking
  • Pear slice or candied ginger for garnish (optional)

Ginger Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup fresh ginger peeled and sliced

Instructions

  • Add tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and ginger syrup to a cocktail shaker.
  • Add ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a pear slice or candied ginger, if desired.

Ginger Syrup

  • Combine water, sugar, and ginger in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir until the sugar dissolves, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let steep for 15 minutes.
  • Strain, cool, and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
