Pina Colada Trifle

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of pound cake
  • 4 tablespoons rum
  • 4 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon rum optional
  • 1 cup chopped pineapple fresh or canned
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut sweetened or unsweetened

Instructions

  • Dip pound cake in the rum and simple syrup mixture.
  • Make the whipped cream with heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and a dash of rum.
  • Layer the cake, chopped pineapple, shredded coconut, and whipped cream.
  • Repeat the layers until the glass is full.
  • Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
