In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of Mezcal, ½ oz of Cointreau, 1 oz of fresh lime juice, ¾ oz of the strawberry basil syrup, and ice cubes.
Shake the mixture until combined and thoroughly chilled.
To serve, rim your serving glass with coarse salt and strain the cocktail into the glass filled with ice.
