Combine water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Add chopped strawberries and edible rose petals to the saucepan. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until flavors infuse.
Remove from heat. Strain the syrup using a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or jar.
Optionally, add edible glitter to the strained syrup for a touch of magic.
Cool the syrup to room temperature, then transfer it to a glass jar or bottle.
Seal and refrigerate. The syrup can be stored for up to two weeks.
