Don’t have a bottle of simple syrup at home? No problem. All you need is equal parts sugar water. Add to a sauce pan and bring to a medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved and allow it to cool before storing.

Ingredients
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz lime juice
- .5 oz simple syrup
- 4 basil leaves plus more for garnish
Instructions
- Muddle the basil in the bottle of a cocktail shaker.
- Add ice, gin, lime juice and syrup.
