Blueberry Lemon Drop

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1/2 ounce triple sec
  • 1 ounce lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 ounce blueberry syrup

Blueberry Syrup

  • 1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water

Instructions

  • Place your coupe glass in the freezer to chill.
  • In a cocktail combine 2 ounces of vodka, ½ ounce of triple sec, 1 ounce of lemon juice, and 1 ounce of blueberry syrup.
  • Add ice to the shake and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  • Remove the coupe glass from the freezer and strain the cocktail into the chilled glass.
  • Add a lemon twist for garnish.

Blueberry Syrup

  • Add blueberries, sugar, and water to a small saucepan.
  • Bring to a medium heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Simmer for about 10 minutes until the blueberries start to break down.
  • Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove the solid blueberry pieces.
  • Let the syrup cool and transfer it to an airtight container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
