Holiday Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Pinot Noir
  • 4 oz brandy
  • 8 oz cranberry juice
  • 2 oz simple syrup*
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 apple chopped
  • ΒΌ cup cranberries
  • 2 star anise
  • 3 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a large pitcher.
  • Stir and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with fruit and rosemary.

Simple Syrup

  • Combine equal parts sugar and water (1 cup each).
  • Simmer until the sugar dissolves, then cool before using.
