Lavender Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Lemonade
  • ¾ oz Lavender syrup
  • 1.5 oz Gin or Gin alternative infused with butterfly pea flowers

Lavender Syrup Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Once the sugar has dissolved, add the dried lavender buds to the saucepan. Stir to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle boil and then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors of the lavender to infuse into the syrup.
  • After simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool completely.
  • Once the syrup has cooled, strain it through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the lavender buds. This will give you a smooth syrup without any solid particles.
  • Transfer the lavender syrup to a sterilized glass jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid.
