Spicy Strawberry Coconut Margarita

Ingredients

  • 2 oz reposado or blanco tequila
  • ½ oz Grand Marnier
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • ½ oz cream of coconut
  • 2 fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeds removed sliced
  • Tajin for rim

Instructions

  • Begin by rimming a cocktail glass with Tajin. Simply moisten the rim of the glass with a lime wedge and dip it into the Tajin until evenly coated.
  • In a shaker, add the sliced strawberries and jalapeno slices. Use a muddler to gently muddle the ingredients, releasing their juices and flavors.
  • Add ice to the shaker, followed by the tequila, Grand Marnier, lime juice, and cream of coconut.
  • Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill the mixture and incorporate the ingredients.
  • Strain the margarita into the prepared cocktail glass over fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a slice of jalapeno or a strawberry, if desired.
