Pineapple juice has become a household staple over here. When Friday rolls around, I can usually be found making my Pineapple Margaritas. It got me thinking about new ways to incorporate pineapple into my rolodex.
I recently got to try Llanllyr Source‘s fiery ginger beer and it has quite a kick. Trader Joes Triple ginger brew could also be a good alternative.
Now, I love ginger in all its forms. I’m not just ‘The Boozy Ginger’ because of my hair color.

A little ginger history
Ginger is a magical root that has been used for centuries in cooking, cocktails and medicines worldwide. It has been known to help nausea and inflammation while making your Wednesday sushi ritual even more delicious. You can find it in stir-fry, sauces, candy, baked goods, soft drinks, tea…you name it!
This ginger beer really kicks it up a notch. It has additional spices to give it some actual heat. When I tried it, I knew that pineapple would work wonderfully with it. Who doesn’t love sweet and spicy?
Llanllyr Source is also great because they care a ton about being sustainable. Their water comes from a spring in Wales and they have been carbon neutral since 2008. Their bottles look really nice on a home bar, too!
I decided to use rum instead of tequila or vodka but honestly, this one is very versatile. I might have to add it to my Friday night rotation.
